To all the baby snails who chose this morning after the rainstorm to brave the barren expanse of the cycle path, I'm honoured to have been the onrushing monster who narrowly missed you.

Whenever critters decide to migrate across a pathway en masse, it tends to be hard to avoid all of them! I seem to recall the same being true of newts up in Oregon around my grandparents' house at certain times of year.
