To all the baby snails who chose this morning after the rainstorm to brave the barren expanse of the cycle path, I'm honoured to have been the onrushing monster who narrowly missed you.

If I didn't narrowly miss you, you slithered well, tiny molluscs. I witness you.

Surprise! Baby snails!

(I think baby snails are quite cute... but maybe not GREAT at crossing cycle paths.)

They really were cute :) Although there was the odd slug in there too. I tried my best to miss them, but even if I'd stopped and walked I couldn't have missed them all.

Whenever critters decide to migrate across a pathway en masse, it tends to be hard to avoid all of them! I seem to recall the same being true of newts up in Oregon around my grandparents' house at certain times of year.
