Bleh. Things that are just... unrelenting grimdark crapsack world stuff... I just don't *get it.* There's no appeal to me! And I know there are people who say the same about stuff I love, and so I realize there may be aspects of it that just aren't for me. (Your Kink Genre Is Not My Genre And That's Okay.) And I get burned out on too much all-happy-all-the-time-bubblegum too, so I realize there's room for a wide spectrum of stories being told, blah blah.
But with the nice, understanding attitude out of the way... I am sick to DEATH of grim/grit/dark/misery being considered somehow superior art! I don't care how much of a hippie it makes me sound like, WITHOUT SOME SENSE OF HOPE OR LOVE OR SOMETHING, THERE IS NO POINT!
