Oddly I still have a really deep fondness for this guy - Colonel Everett Young from Stargate SGU, who is an absolute disaster, but by God he tries hard.

the one above my desk - in my house Christmas goes on until Candlemas on 2nd February, so decorations are still up.

you can't actually see it very well, but this is my signpainting box that I am beginning to decorate

I find solitaire very soothing to the mind and soul
6. A TV show or movie you hope more people will watch
Stargate SGU, I guess! Too few people gave it a fair try, and in the words of Benoit Blanc, it doesn't make a lick of sense: compels me though.

A scarf my daughter crocheted for me for Christmas
8. A thing from an old fandom
Norribun, aka Commodore James Norrington from Pirates of the Caribbean in bunny form
9. A thing from a new fandom
You can't be a MDZS fan without a tassel, right? I put mine on my musical instrument also, but in my case that was a melodeon. It doesn't quite have the same effect!

seekingidlewild bought him for me from Stitchy Button and he's been a source of joy ever since, even though I'm 15 years out of that fandom :)

Date: 2023-01-13 08:31 pm (UTC)From:It really is. If I'm frazzled and exhausted it's really calming just to turn over cards until I can sort out the whole pack, especially as I give up easily and load a new game if it gets too difficult :)
The signpainting is fairly meditative and calming as well, though you need a bit more energy for that!
