LOL! Fortunately I think I'm far enough away to avoid witnessing that :)
Yes, they're native here, and the little tree is doing really well (I put it in about three years ago.) But every year I think 'this is the year I make medlar jelly!' And then every year I forget to get to them before the squirrels do.
